A group of injured veterans is preparing to climb California's Mt. Whitney in early September. David Shurna with No Barriers USA says the Soldiers to Summits program helps veterans overcome barriers, regardless of physical, mental or emotional challenges.
The group is training near Denver, Colorado for the week-long climb with the goal of reaching the 14-thousand foot summit of Mt. Whitney on September 11th. You can follow the Soldiers to Summits journey and get more information on a 25-mile Walk With the Soldiers campaign online at s2s2014.org.
