(Kentucky)--A new Holiday attraction will open this season at Newport on the Levee.
The Newport Express Holiday Depot, will feature a customized train and village display, sculptures made from Lego's including a replica of Music Hall composed of 60,000 LEGO bricks, The Depot is under construction on the Riverwalk level in the 5,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by a Hollister store.
A new space will be unveiled during the Newport on the Levee’s annual “Light Up the Levee Grand Illumination” event, which runs from 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 26.
The Levee is also working to bring back the Newport Express train, that runs on the Riverwalk during the summer months, for the holiday season.
A life-size model of a Norfolk Southern train will also be on dispay at the Depot and kids can visit with Santa.
Admission to the Depot will be $5; children ages three and under will be admitted free. Photos with Santa will be available at an additional cost.
The Depot will be open from noon-8 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday (hours for visits with Santa will vary) through Jan. 5.
