Historic Birth for The Cincinnati Zoo

The Cincinnati's zoo is celebrating the birth of an endangered Indian rhinoceros in Alabama.

the baby is the first known calf of any rhino species born and thriving in captivity in the United States as the result of artificial insemination.

Jeta the rhino was pregnant for about 15 months before she gave birth to the still unnamed calf on June 5. The calf, weighed 90 pounds and is doing well.
