( Cincinnati ) - Newly elected Mayor John Cranley announced Monday afternoon that his vice mayor will be City Council member-elect David Mann. Mann has years of political experience including serving as mayor from 1980-1982, 18 years on council and time in the U.S. Congress.
Cranley and Mann agree on two main issues for City Council. Both want the streetcar project to be cancelled and the leasing of the parking meters to end with the Port Authority.
As vice mayor, Mr. Mann will have similar powers as the Mayor and would perform his duties if absent, disabled, removed, had resigned or passed away.
The new vice mayor also serves as partner in his own law firm Mann and Mann in downtown Cincinnati.
