(Cincinnati, Oh.)--The Cincinnati Public Library has set up its first 3D printer.
The printer is set up in the TechCenter on the second floor of the Main Library’s South building. TechCenter staff will help users though the computer program to design custom objects using 3D modeling software.
Customers can also save their custom design on a flash drive them bring it to the Main Library to be printed.
The 3D printer, uses plastic filament staked layer by layer to build the objects. Users can print a protective cell phone case, design model airplanes, or create a complete custom object. The printer is one of the more than 20,000 free programs and services they offer each year.
The Main Library, located at 800 Vine St., is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday through Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
