Council Want to Improve The Cincinnati Brewery District

Business owners and history buffs in Cincinnati want Ohio's third-largest city to carve out its own niche in alcohol tourism by revitalizing a brewery district that hasn't thrived since before Prohibition.

City Council approved a plan last week identifing problem areas  and ways to solve them, in the crime-prone section of the Over-the-Rhine Historic District just north of downtown.

The ultimate goal is to restore some of the former glory of the district's brewing and warehouse buildings, weed out drugs and prostitution, inject new homes and businesses, and create some buzz.
